West Indies vs Australia Preview - Visitors to Make a Strong Start in the First Test

West Indies begin this three-match test series against Australia under new leadership. Roston Chase replaced former Windies Kraigg Brathwaite, who stepped down after three years in the role.

The Windies are struggling at test level and haven’t won a series since February 2023, when they defeated Zimbabwe 1-0.

The West Indies are winless in their following seven tests, losing five. They have drawn their previous two, both 1-1 against Bangladesh at home and Pakistan away.

Australia heads to the West Indies as the ICC’s top-ranked side after some strong recent test form.

The Baggy Greens won three series in a row between 2024 and 2025. This streak started with a 2-0 win in New Zealand and a 3-1 victory on home soil against India.
